Drishti was founded in 2008 with an aim to provide quality training in South Asian Classical dance style especially Kathak whilst providing a professional environment, to produce high quality dance work. Drishti is committed to create environment that nurtures excellence and innovation.
Since then Drishti Dance has worked tirelessly not only to provide platform for local dancers to experience the dance form in its original form but also to maintain their skills through public facing performances.
Drishti firmly believes that a strong foundation for future excellence and quality performances will be built within the region, only through, creating a local Knowledge base and synergies between the individuals.
Anuradha, the creative head of Drishti dance, is a leading exponent of Lucknow tradition of Kathak, trained under the guidance of well known Kathak Guru, Pundit Arjun Mishra, in Lucknow (India). She has been awarded with Sringar Mani, by Sur Sringaar Samsad, a prominent arts and cultural organization based in Mumbai, India for her exquisite emotive expressions and was also crowned regional winner in Barclays Live dance competition from Reading.
Anuradha has been critically acclaimed for her performance and choreographic skills both in Indian and in UK and has been working consistently with Dance artists and musicians of different disciplines to produce works that are innovative and challenging. to read more click here.
